Work Parties and PAR duties
As a WMS gardener, you are part of a community
of gardeners. You are expected to make a meaningful contribution of time to your gardening
community to help keep the garden neat and beautiful – especially before mid-summer
to keep weeds from getting the upper hand!
Garden work parties are scheduled at WMS to weed paths
and edges, turn compost in the compost bins, trim the grass along the fence, care for the
native flower border and do any other necessary maintenance. ALL gardeners must sign up to
attend at least one work party in addition to early bird or opening day and closing day!
Please mark your calendar now for at least one of the
above work parties. We will have a sign-up sheet available on Opening Day. If you
can’t make any of these dates, please contact Jessica
to arrange another time. ALL gardeners are asked to attend either Early Bird or Opening
Day in addition to Closing Day (Oct 23 10am-12 noon) meetings!
Everyone will also be assigned a week to help weed,
water, and harvest the PAR plot. Assignments will be posted later in the season. |
